The cost-effective Ultra-Flex Dog Door features a three-part flap made of hollow, polycarbonate material to provide prime insulation. The three parts have flexible hinges between them for added comfort during use. Surrounded by plastic weather stripping, the draft resistant seal prevents wind and weather from entering your home. This pet door will provide energy efficiency and keep you and your pet happy.

Please read instructions & notes thoroughly before installation.
Step 1 Mark the Outline
- Place the locking cover where you plan to install the pet door.
- Draw around the edges of the locking cover with a pencil.
- Make sure to keep the template level.
- Remove the template once the outline is drawn.
Step 2 Drill Starter Holes
- Use the power drill to drill four holes at each corner of the outline. Drill inside the pencil line.
Step 3 Cut the Outline
- Insert the jigsaw into the first starter hole and saw along the pencil line until reaching the hole on the other side.
- Repeat for all four sides. Then gently remove and discard the cut out wall material.
Step 4 Connect the Frames
- Grab the outside frame (frame without a flap) and place into the cutout.
- Take the inside frame and place on the inside of the cutout until flush with the door and connected with the outside frame.
- Make sure the flap hinge pins are horizontal so they will not interfere with thr slot on the outside frame.
Step 5 Install the Screws
- Hand-fit the screws in all six places along the pet door frame.
- Use the power driver to tighten all the screws.
- Check the flap for fit and function. Try fitting the locking cover in place.

Works but..
This works great to keep the cold air out, but the rubber parts in between the panels wear out pretty quickly if you have more active dogs. FYI you can only get the parts to replace that from the manufacturer
Excellent product that fits perfectly
I ordered this product to replace a worn out door that was 9 years old. The new door fits perfectly, was easy to install and is working fine.
Great but a bit pricey!
The replacement part was perfect fit and went in without any trouble at all. It's great to be able to replace just the flap and the piece around it rather than the whole door. But replacing just the flap wasn't an option this time because the insulation was all worn out.
rubber part between flaps wears out very quickly
The rubber flap holding the flaps together deteriorates within a year. Have to buy whole new flap which is not cheap. I have gone through 2 in 18 months. Worst doggie door I have ever purchased. Editor's note: You can purchase replacement rubber pieces directly from the manufacturer, Ideal Pet Products. They also have a 1 year warranty.
Great product
I have the one that installs in a sliding glass door. It looks like it was made for that spot perfectly. I have had 3 different brand of dog doors and this one is by far the best. The vinyl flap type never lasted with my dogs as they run through it full force. This one lasts way longer and doesn't fly open on windy days. They also have great customer service.
