The High Tech Pet Armor Flex Pet Door for Doors is an energy-efficient pet door made with a premium aluminum frame and an innovative flap. The flexible flap made from interlocking segments that provide horizontal rigidity to fully compress seal the sides of the flap while still allowing the vertical flexibility needed for easy and safe pet use. The extreme weather pet flap is made from high-strength ABS composite that can withstand frequent use and is also lined with a series of magnets that hold the flap closed against strong winds. The frame features industrial grade, heavy-gauge aluminum construction. Each Armor Flex door is finished with a durable power coating that resists scratches, wear and tear, and will remain beautiful for years to come.

Step 1 Measure Your Dog's Height

- Measure your dog’s shoulder height.
- The top of your rough cut-out should be 4” higher than your dog’s shoulder height such that the bottom of your rough cut-out is at least 3” above the floor (see Figure 1).
- Position your cut-out to the higher of the two conditions.
Step 2 Mark the Rough Cutout

- Using a level for the top edge, draw the rough cut-out rectangle on your door using the chart pictured.
Step 3 Cut the Opening

- Drill a 3/8” hole on the inside of each corner.
- Use a jigsaw to cut out the opening.
- Start at one of the corner holes and saw out the rough opening.
Step 4 Drill the Outside Mounting Holes
- Place the bezel in the opening you cut in the outside of your door.
- Then, trace each mounting hole circle with a pencil.
- Remove the bezel and drill a mounting hole in the center of each circle you traced.
- The screw anchors included are recommended for hollow core doors.
- If you are planning to use the screw anchors, drill the holes with a 1⁄4” drill bit.
- If you will be screwing directly in to a solid wood door use a size #21 (.159”) drill bit.
- For hollow core doors, insert a screw anchor in each hole on the outside of your door or wall.
Step 5 Install the Main Assembly
- Reinstall the bezel and screw it into place using the Mounting Screws provided.
- With the bezel in place, insert the Main Door Assembly into inside of the opening you made in your door.
- Then, trace each mounting hole circle with a pencil.
Step 6 Insert Screw Anchors
- Remove the Main Door Assembly and drill a mounting hole in the center of each circle you traced.
- Use a 1⁄4” drill bit if you are using the screw anchors.
- If you will be screwing directly in to a solid wood door use a size #21 (.159”) drill bit.
- Insert a screw anchor into each hole.
Step 7 Secure the Main Door Assembly

- Reinstall the Main Door Assembly and screw it into place using the Mounting Screws provided.
- Insert the Security Panel into the Main Door Assembly.

Warranty
All of our products carry a full one-year warranty (with the exception of replacement collar key batteries. If your product fails to operate at any time, for any reason, within one year of the original delivery date we will repair or replace it at our expense, no questions asked. If it doesn't work, send it back, get another one.
Guidelines:
Your product must be returned to High Tech Pet Products and must be clean and free of pet hair, dust and dander. Items that are dirty or containing pet hair and requiring cleaning will be subject to a charge equal to 25% of the original purchase price. We will ship the repaired or replaced product back to you via FedEx Ground or USPS priority mail, at our expense however, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the defective product to us.
In no case will High Tech Pet Products arrange or pay for the shipping of the defective product from your location to ours. Should you request the product to be sent out via air service, we will be happy to accommodate your request however, you will be required to pay the entire cost of the expedited service. ALL products, including pet doors, must be returned to us before we send out a replacement unit.
We must receive and examine the defective unit before the repaired or replaced unit is shipped out to you. There are no exceptions to this policy. When returning a product for repair or replacement, you must allow at least 1 – 2 weeks for replacement plus shipping time each way. In some cases, especially for special order items, the replacement time may be longer.

Weather tight flap design (staff review)
